Generation Why Customs is an individually owned and operated business that has been producing work since 2006. Each order is accessed and fulfilled through direct contact with the customer throughout the entirety of the commission process. Because each work is hand-painted, no two products will be exactly the same and each customer can be guarenteed a one of a kind piece. The distinctive style of GY Customs has developed and evolved since the inception of the business due to increased profficency with the tools used and the unqiue aesthic adhered to by the artist.
Super Dollfie: A polyurithane resin-casted doll produced by the Volks company.
Asian Ball Jointed Doll: The spectrum of dolls based off the initial Volks prototype of Super Dollfie. Generally, the dolls come in multiple sizes (with the standard size of about 2'), are elastically strung and made of Resin. A wide variety of companies have adopted this style of doll into their own designs and productions.
Faceup: A term used to describe the hand painted facial features of ABJD. Intially the dolls are featureless, and require some sort of additional painted, airbrushed, or pastel design in order to define eyebrows, eyelashes, lips and blushing.
